Gregg Allen, ACI of G. A. Home Services, LLC, started working on homes as a career in 1989. In the Atlanta, Georgia area he worked for a condominium management company to do repair work for the Home Owners Associations. This was not full time work but his ability to quickly learn helped him to find additional work doing jobs for the home owners themselves. In 1992 Gregg began working for a remodeling and renovation company. The work was varied and involved all areas of home construction and remodeling. In 1993 Gregg broke out on his own doing handyman repairs and small remodeling jobs.
In 1996 Gregg was introduced to a home inspector. Gregg followed along for several months when he could to learn about home inspections. In early 1997 he started doing home inspections with this home inspector as a team and then later individually also. At about this time he also started to assist in new home construction in between home inspections
His varied experience around homes has been a great asset as a home inspector. Gregg can see an issue from the perspective of a home inspector, a builder, and the person who may have to correct it. In 2002 Gregg began his own Home Inspection business. His goal is to provide you with a home inspection that provides you with as much information possible to make an informed decision regarding the home you are considering buying, selling, or the home you own and want to properly maintain.
In 2019, Gregg and his wife decided to relocate to the Daytona Beach area of Florida. He is now a licensed Home Inspector in the State of Florida, and provides 4 Point Inspection Reports and Wind Mitigation Inspection Reports, in addition to doing general home inspections. Over the years as a Home Inspector, Gregg has become known for his resourcefulness and knowledge regarding homes, and his willingness to share that information. He now also offers consulting services regarding home maintenance and safety issues.
In addition to being an ASHI Certified Inspector (ACI) with the American Society of Home Inspectors, (ASHI), Gregg maintains membership in the Georgia Chapter of ASHI, to stay in touch with fellow home inspectors he has developed relationships with, and to be a service to the Chapter that has helped him develop as a Home Inspector. He currently serves as the Public Relations Chair for the Chapter, and assists with email campaigns about Chapter events to its members. Membership with the International Code Council (ICC) helps him to remain up to date on building codes, since ICC writes most of the building codes used in the United States and around the world.
Gregg has over the years attended numerous Home Inspector Conferences, to be sure that he stays up to date on current Home Inspections topics and has taught courses to his fellow inspectors.
When Gregg is not busy helping home buyers and home owners, he enjoys wood working, bicycling, kayaking, photography, and listening to music.
